[toughproblem] and Powered Up People have launched a workshop for ambitious people looking for the secret edge to success and meaning at work.
Combining their core content and methodology, Peter Vozvoteca and Wendy Somerville have teamed up to deliver ‘Leadership and Innovation the Human Centered Way’ – a humanistic approach to creating value for business.. This course combines success mindsets like the growth mindset with the human centered design (HCD) process to demonstrate how to maximise our thinking and learning capacity to approach and design high value services and solutions. The workshop content is scalable, so you don’t have to be in a ‘design team’ to benefit, and we spend time considering how to adapt these approaches to suit various projects and business situations.
If you want a positive thinking, collaborative innovator in your team whocan bring back some insightful approaches – send someone along!

Learning Experience & Outcomes:

  • Learn to work with various human-centred mind-sets that will allow you to ‘sit in the dirt’ and uncover the heart of problems
  • Learn to manage your mindset and positively influence the mindset of others to encourage collaborative solution-focused exchanges
  • Learn to find patterns and relationships that spark new perspectives and ideas
  • Learn to create compelling visualisations of complex conversations that really help improve the quality of your team’s ideas and success of their projects

Equip yourself with a clear and effective strategic planning approach for tough problems that do not respond directly to logic and analysis and build your roadmap for change.

Traditionally strategies are built using strongly left brain, analytical, backwards looking techniques. Our A two B approach balances the analytical with the creative and helps teams to understand where they are, imagine a better future and invent a roadmap for getting there.  This course will help you understand the A two B approach, give you hands on experience contributing to one and leave you with a set of great questions you can use to create a clear and actionable strategy for your business.

Learning Experience & Outcomes:

  • Learn to use a simple yet versatile framework to deal with messy, comple problems such as strategic planning or product and service design
  • Learn to plan, design, run and record an effective strategic dialogue workshop
  • Use high quality questions to help you move through the various stages of the A two B
  • Use visualisation techniques such as mind-mapping and heuristics to challenge thinking, enhance collaboration and record the conversation
  • Apply highly engaging facilitation techniques to surface realities, imagine a compelling future and develop your strategic roadmap
  • Create an A two B of your own

I knew that tough Problem would bring a pragmatic approach to designing, documenting and implementing our requirements, and that they would be capable of completing this intensive piece of work within the prescribed deadlines... They compiled a response that was both comprehensive & addressed The Rock’s requirements, but they also positioned it to meet the future needs of our organisation. Overall, they delivered a great “fit for purpose” outcome for The Rock.

Tough Problem was engaged by the C&K Association Limited’s Board to undertake a strategic and operational review following the resignation of the former CEO. After working with the Tough Problem team, the leadership team gained a better understanding of the business and the service to our key stakeholders. The guidance and assistance they gave us in developing focused initiatives to improve our total organisation was invaluable. Tough Problem was able to provide key insight on parts of the business that surprised a number of our long standing employees! They are a master of turning complexity in simplicity. With the help of Tough Problem we were able to improve our overall service to the front line staff, our head office accountability to each other and generate the largest surplus in C&K history. It was a great team to have around in our time of need.
